Larissa Bates’s silent video, in which boys wrestle and men in bear suits dance around like clowns, is like a more-fun version of Friday night’s debate. The video is on view as part of a bizarrely enchanting show featuring slightly gaudy, Renaissance-esque paintings and sculptures of half-naked fallen warriors and lederhosen-clad man-children. The only thing missing is a bikini-clad woman wielding a rifle. On view at Monya Rowe through October 18; click to watch.
