Possible Kindle Killer Announced

California company Paper Logic debuted its new e-reader yesterday at San Diego’s Demo Fall conference, and it’s straight out of Hill Valley circa 2015: a touch-screen device, with an iPhone-like pop-up keyboard, that’s the size of a standard piece of paper and is made out of flexible plastic. It’s being marketed to business users, but, just like the Kindle, it can store books and newspapers. The device will available in the spring of next year and will likely cost around the same as e-readers currently available. One last crucial note: According to Paper Logic, its screen is strong enough to withstand a direct hit from a shoe. [TG Daily]
