We’ll refrain from saying that Baby Mama wasn’t the laugh fest it should have been, because our expectations for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are next to those of a crazed stage mom. The movie is in fact packed with satisfying vulgarities (“Excuse me, can I just spray a little Pam down in that area before the baby comes out?”), slapstick chuckles (Poehler maniacally throwing a trash can at some dirtbag’s car), and a baby-hunger plotline that made us roll our eyes only once. The DVD has tons of extra features, including a suspense-enshrouded alternate ending, deleted scenes, SNL behind-the-scenes, and a making-of.
