Voice Actor Don LaFontaine Dies at 68

Beloved voice actor Don LaFontaine, responsible for narrating more than 5,000 movie trailers and coining the classic phrase “In a world…,” died yesterday from complications related to the treatment of a collapsed lung, according to his publicist. Remembers one Vulture reader in an e-mail, “He was more significant to the movie industry than just about every bullshit actor around now.” And so he was.
