Joanna Pacitti, the American Idol contestant who was once cast as Annie on Broadway, starred in an MTV reality show, released an album on Geffen Records, recorded a song that was subsequently covered by Britney Spears, and, oh yeah, had a reported “private relationship” with two executives from Idol’s production company, has been disqualified from the show to “avoid the appearance of impropriety.” Talk about an overreaction! She was shown making it into the Top 36 on last night’s episode, but she’ll be replaced next week with Felicia Barton, another contestant, who presumably has never been covered by Britney Spears.
