Over the years, we’ve seen more than a few athletes sell trophies awarded to them as a way of either making ends meet (William “The Refrigerator” Perry) or by the order of the court (O. J. Simpson). However, this is the first time that we’ve ever seen a Tony award go on sale on eBay. Bids for the Tony won by famed costume designer Florence Klotz for her work on the 1985 musical Grind start at $10,000, but the award can be yours now for the low, low price of just $20,000. It is unclear exactly who is selling and who is profiting from the impending sale of the award, as Ms. Klotz passed away back in November of 2006. One thing is certain, though: It’s certainly a better award to have on your shelf than a Daytime Emmy!
