Crappy Economy Threatens MPAA

Bankers and auto workers aren’t the only ones suffering during this wintry economic climate. The Wrap is reporting that the budget for the MPAA, those squares who decide how many bare breasts and F-bombs a film can contain before it gets slapped with an R rating, has been cut by $20 million (!) this year. Our unsolicited cost-cutting suggestion? Just have Manohla Dargis write up the rationale for each film’s rating. [Wrap]
