According to EW’s Michael Ausiello, Claire (née Emilie de Ravin) will return as a “full-time series regular” for Lost’s upcoming final season: “Damon [Lindelof] and I are very excited to bring Claire back to the show,” confirms showrunner Carlton Cuse, “and even more excited for people to experience just how she will return.” EW’s Doc Jensen speculates that the nuke Juliet detonated at the end of last month’s season-five finale will reboot history back to before Claire (maybe dead?) wandered off with Christian, or, failing that, she’ll just pop out of the jungle one day with no memories, possibly while possessed by the same spirit thingy that’s been masquerading as Locke — either theory seems totally plausible. We sort of wish Jacob’s nemesis could just inhabit the bodies of all the dead characters. That guy who played Boone would certainly appreciate the work, we bet.
