VH1 Denies Report That Megan Hauserman Is Getting a New Reality Show

While VH1 is understandably being raked over the coals for their lax casting practices in the wake of the unfortunate Ryan Jenkins murder-suicide case, there is at least one party not the least bit culpable in the tragedy who finds herself at a bit of a career crossroads. That person, of course, is one Megan Hauserman, the titular star of the recently canceled Megan Wants a Millionaire. Hauserman first rose to celebreality fame on Rock of Love 2, and thanks to her good looks, feminine wiles, and her nearly unparalleled ability to manipulate other brain-dead reality-show contestants, she’s found herself a staple of VH1 reality programming for the last few years. But now that her show has been put on ice, does she have a future with the network? Well, a report posted by Radar last night proclaimed that the network had given Hauserman another reality show as a way to “buy her silence.” This story sounded a bit fishy to us, so we reached out to VH1 this morning in an attempt to confirm the report. We quickly heard back from a network spokesperson who told us, unequivocally, that “This is absolutely incorrect and untrue.” Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Megan; we hope that Radar report didn’t get your hopes up!
