Director and Oscar-winning screenwriter Roger Avary (The Rules of Attraction, Killing Zoe) has been sentenced to one year in jail for his role in a fatal car crash back in 2008. Avary was behind the wheel of his car when he lost control and crashed into a telephone pole, an accident that resulted in his wife being ejected from the car and another passenger, Andreas Zini, being killed.
