The Day the Comedy Died

Jeff Dunham, the ventriloquist/stand-up comedian who makes Carlos Mencia look funny, is now the proud owner of Comedy Central’s record for the most-watched series premiere. The Jeff Dunham Show premiered on Thursday to an impressive 5.3 million viewers (7.9 million when you count those who watched the replay). This isn’t much of a surprise; Dunham’s Christmas special from last year holds the record for the most-watched broadcast in Comedy Central’s history. There are a lot of things that could be said about Dunham’s offensive, broad, terribly unfunny humor, and lucky for us, Videogum said them.
