Penélope Cruz’s poise makes her a red-carpet chameleon: She pulls off gowns — some flowing, some sexy and snug — and cocktail dresses with equal aplomb, always sticking to shades that complement her rich skin tone and cuts that flatter her curves (though, to be fair, what doesn’t flatter the woman?). She — or her stylist — also has a solid grip on reality, with a good sense of occasion: Save the gowns for the premieres, tone it down to chic LBDs or multipiece ensembles for the occasional screening. With only one misstep (an aqua minidress more suited to the likes of Shenae Grimes), Cruz has one of the best red-carpet batting averages out there. Which is saying a lot.
