The next chapter in this award season’s Battle of the Exes will take place tonight as James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow square off for the Director’s Guild Award. Sure, Quentin Tarantino, Jason Reitman, and Lee Daniels theoretically are up for it, too, but it’s basically assured to be either Cameron or Bigelow. Though somehow Cameron and his Colonial coif took the Golden Globe, Bigelow has taken most of the critics prizes and we’re thinking she’s got a good shot at becoming the first female winner tonight.
