After reports surfaced that Lil Wayne would voice the character of Jesus Christ in the upcoming Adult Swim special Return of Freaknik, also featuring T-Pain, CNN called the network to confirm. And, in the process, they ruined everyone’s fun: According to a spokesperson, Wayne’s character “is named Jesus and not Jesus Christ.” What a drag, right? Although the spokesperson does add, “Lil Wayne’s character is still evolving.” So it sounds like they’re keeping the Son-of-God option on the table, at least. [CNN]
