The renowned chorus of kids from Public School 22 in New York City posted their version of Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” yesterday with the note “We based our version more on the Alicia Keys “Empire State of Mind Part II,” but as a tribute to Jay-Z version, the kids and I created our own little rap that obviously was a bit more age appropriate.” That makes sense. Like all the songs these kids do, it’s adorable.
