Watching Too Much TV Could Kill You

It’s a good thing you’re reading the Internet right now, because if you were watching TV you’d be killing yourself. That’s the word from a study by Australian researchers (ha!) that says people who watch more TV have an increased risk of death. According to the L.A. Times, “Researchers found that each hour a day spent watching TV was linked with an 18% greater risk of dying from cardiovascular disease, an 11% greater risk of all causes of death, and a 9% increased risk of death from cancer.” Not to mention a 32 percent greater risk of your friends killing you because you won’t stop trying to explain Daniel Faraday’s plan to prevent “the incident.”
