Derek Zoolander Probably No Fan of New Oscar Set

“It needs to be at least three times bigger!”

Earlier today, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences debuted the new look set for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards next month. Created by renowned production designer David Rockwell, the set will feature a Swarovski Crystal Curtain and “three circular, revolving platforms that work in combination with rotating LED panels and architectural metalwork screens for film projection.” Sadly, though, it appears as though designers made the same mistake that the evil fashion impresario Mugato made when designing the The Derek Zoolander Institute for Kids Who Can’t Read Good and Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too: Namely, the set should be at least three times bigger! Better luck next year, Academy.
