The Razzie Nominations: Who Got Snubbed?

The Oscar nominations are announced tomorrow, but who cares? This morning, the Golden Raspberry Foundation revealed the nominees for their awards, honoring the year’s worst in movies. Land of the Lost and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen lead with seven nods each. Sandra Bullock, nominated for Worst Actress for All About Steve, could make history as the first-ever star to win both an Academy Award and a Razzie in the same year. Gold Derby’s Tom O’Neil, who spoke with Razzies president John Wilson, says that Twilight Saga: New Moon would’ve almost certainly made the cut if they’d expanded their Worst Picture category to ten slots like the Oscars. But who else got snubbed?

Movies ranking high on Vulture’s Critics Poll but not nominated for any Razzies include: The Ugly Truth, The Lovely Bones, Nine, Antichrist, Up in the Air, Precious, and Paper Heart. We’d have liked to see any of those take the place of Land of the Lost, which was actually pretty funny. Also, poor Julie White!
