In December, Wayne Coyne’s crew digitally released The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing the Dark Side of the Moon, a homage to Pink Floyd’s classic. Now there are physical release dates (April 17 on vinyl, May 4 on CD) and tour dates for the project, including a stop at Central Park’s SummerStage in July. Note: the Flaming Lips’ version doesn’t synch perfectly with The Wizard of Oz, but it does do so, strangely, with the 1997 Dennis Rodman–Jean-Claude Van Damme film Double Team. [NME via Spinner]
