For a piece in Sunday’s L.A. Times, Geoff Boucher interviews Bryan Singer and producer Lauren Shuler Donner about the director’s upcoming return to the X-Men franchise, with the prequel X-Men: First Class and maybe even X-Men 4, which Shuler Donner is trying to talk him into. “I had lunch with Hugh Jackman today,” says Singer at one point, and Shuler Donner presses him for off-the-record details. Boucher strongly implies that she was asking about whether he and Jackman had discussed Singer directing a second Wolverine movie, though it’s also equally likely she asked what Hugh had ordered or if he’d mentioned plans to any upcoming awards shows (those would’ve been our first questions).
