Another Recognizable Actor to Appear on a Soap Opera

It is common wisdom that soap operas are dying (also, possibly, fact). Also common wisdom: Famous people like supporting tragic causes. It makes a certain kind of sense, then, that in the last few months an unprecedented number of famous people have appeared on soaps. Now formerly famous person Sean Young (Blade Runner, No Way Out) will follow in the footsteps of James Franco, Julianne Moore, and the Hoff, and join Young and the Restless, the highest-rated soap opera in all the land, as “a sultry barmaid who gets tied up in a mystery.” Cross your fingers that it will be as melodramatic as the time she played a cross-dressing, lunatic, former field-goal kicker in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
