Not long ago, we lamented the exodus of actors away from the fantastic Starz comedy Party Down and toward network TV. Tonight there’s news of yet another. Lizzy Caplan, who plays a struggling comedian on the show, has been cast in the CBS pilot True Love. To make matters worse, the limited description of the show provided by The Hollywood Reporter makes it sound atrocious: “Love is an ensemble comedy about four New York friends — Henry (Jason Biggs), Kate (Minka Kelly), Larry (Tyler Labine) and Connie (Caplan) — looking for love.” Blah.
