Movie Marketers: Enough With the Fake Graffiti

Presumably sick of having their billboards defaced with profanities, gang symbols, and big spray-painted wangs, movie studios are now producing their billboards pre-vandalized and covered in on-message, family-safe graffiti. Yes, this trend is profoundly annoying. Click to see three recent, irritating examples.

When spray-painting the URL for Tron 2’s viral website onto this billboard, some lawless ne’er-do-well took great care not to obscure the film’s title or light cycles. Sure, Disney.
Lionsgate apparently intends for us to believe that Aaron Johnson and Chloe Moretz have nothing better to do than wait around on this billboard, in costume, until somebody green-lights a Kick-Ass sequel. (They do have better things to do, right?)
Would any real vandal climb to the top of this billboard with a spray can and not draw a huge penis on Brendan Fraser’s face? No.
