After Iron Man 2’s $100 million opening weekend in foreign markets, some thought it had a chance to beat out The Dark Knight for the biggest opening weekend ever. Well, it didn’t happen, but Iron Man 2 still ruled the box office this weekend with its $133.6 million take. A Nightmare on Elm Street finished second, way back at $9.1 million, and was followed by How to Train Your Dragon (6.7 million), Date Night ($5.3 million), and The Back-Up Plan ($4.3 million).
