The fourth installment of Shrek did what everyone expected and destroyed the competition at the box office this weekend with a $71.3 million take. It’s less than the previous two Shrek sequels made in their opening weekends, but it’s far more than the $26.6 million made by this weekend’s second place movie, Iron Man 2. Robin Hood made $18.7 to finish third and all the way down in sixth place, with a paltry $4.1 million is MacGruber. At least his grandma still loves him. [HR]
