On August 15, Dr. Jill Biden will appear as herself on an episode of Lifetime’s well-rated melodrama Army Wives “to raise awareness of the service and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform.” In the episode, Joe’s honey will speak with characters — some played by real army wives — about their lives on the base, while, we assume, the series regulars try to shield her from their various drug addictions, affairs, divorces, squabbles, and money troubles so as to make an appropriate impression.
