Ozzy Osbourne: Contributor to Science

Ozzy Osbourne is having his genome mapped so that scientists can “find out how he is still alive after decades of drug and alcohol abuse.” An American company, Knome, is paying for this experiment, in the hopes that the genetic map of someone who can drink four bottles of cognac a day will teach us something about the body’s ability to cope with substance abuse. Even more useful, scientists will now have a better chance of locating the gene that makes people bite off bat heads. [Sky News]
