X Factor Britain’s Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle has already won over large chunks of the world’s music-consuming population, so it’s not surprising to find out Pope Benedict XVI is also a fan: It’s just been announced that Boyle will perform for the Pope at an open-air papal Mass in Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park during Benedict’s tour of Britain later this year. And it’s not like the Pope’s just meeting with any pop star he can — the rest of his trip consists of doing decidedly more Pope-like stuff, such as beatifications and addresses to Parliament.
