Report: A-Team Movie Had a Screenplay

Though Hollywood Reporter critic Kirk Honeycutt delightfully posits otherwise — “The film seems nearly writer-free. Absolutely no time gets wasted on story, character development or logic” — Nikki Finke reports that this weekend’s A-Team movie is actually the product of cobbled-together efforts from eleven screenwriters, including Kevin Broadbin, Bruce Feirstein, Jayson Rothwell, Laurence M. Konner, Mark Rosenthal, Michael Brandt, Derek Haas, Skip Woods, Joe Carnahan, Brian Bloom, and Mathew Carnahan (only Bloom, Woods, and Joe Carnahan are actually credited). Also, in violation of WGA regulations, the script may have been punched up by producer Alex Young. It takes a lot of imaginations to put Bradley Cooper in a parachuting tank. [Deadline]
