YouTube Users More Interested in Katy Perry Than Barack Obama

Two weeks ago, YouTube asked its users to submit questions for an interview with Katy Perry, the latest in the site’s Moderator series. During the thirty-minute discussion, which was posted on the site today, host Lisa Nova revealed that over 20,500 queries were submitted for the Perry chat. For comparison, when Barack Obama took part in a similar interview earlier this year, YouTube received only about half that number of questions (11,696). Though despite that massive number of questions submitted for Perry, “What is your favorite food?” inexplicably still managed to make the cut (her answer, in case you ever find yourself having Perry over for dinner: beets and arugula).
