Mindy Kaling’s Subtle Sexuality Poised for a Comeback!

Forget for a moment the whole debate over who might replace Steve Carell on The Office next year. We’ve an Office scoop to report: Vulture has learned that girl-power duo Subtle Sexuality, which burst on to the fake TV-band scene last year with “Male Prima Donna,” is reuniting. Lead singer and director Mindy Kaling tells us there are “pretty ambitious” plans for the group: “There’ll be two songs and two music videos, and the whole cast [including Ellie Kemper, Ed Helms and B.J. Novack] is coming back.” Kaling will direct both videos, as well as the webisodes accompanying the songs. So will the new tracks be dance-oriented like “Prima Donna,” or can we look forward to a slow jam? “The writers tried to cover so many different genres [with the
songs] because we do it so infrequently,” Kaling explains, promising that at least one video will have elements of time travel.
