As early as March 2011, the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block will reportedly be going on tour together, giving two generations of women an opportunity to flex long-underused screeching muscles. While “investigating” the pairing of the great boy bands of yore, we couldn’t help but notice that the New Kids were at their peak fame in 1988 (Hangin’ Tough) and the Backstreet Boys’ in 1999 (with the “I Want It That Way” led Millennium), which starts to make Justin Bieber’s 2010 ascension to power look preordained (scientifically speaking, of course).
