In Joel Schumacher’s latest, Twelve, Chace Crawford and 50 Cent play drug dealers doling out a powerful made-up drug to the privileged youth of New York City. At Cinema Society’s screening of Twelve last week, we asked Schumacher how he reacted when Crawford was arrested for possession of marijuana a few months back. Schumacher tried to laugh it off with a “no comment,” but we pressed on, asking if he hoped the incident could boost the box-office gross for his drug movie. “I thought he had chosen an odd way to promote the film,” Schumacher finally responded. “I actually said to him, ‘Now if I can just get Fitty to shoot someone, we’re in.’” For more celebrity quotes, click through our Party Lines slideshow.
