Emma Watson Lines Up First Post-Potter Role

In the ten years she’s spent in the industry, Emma Watson hasn’t made a single live-action film outside of the Harry Potter franchise, so all eyes were on the 20-year-old Brown student to see which project she’d pick for her first post-Potter debut. Though she circled the female lead role in Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the Daily Mail is reporting that Watson has now committed to the ensemble cast of My Week With Marilyn. She’ll play a wardrobe assistant in the film, which dramatizes a behind-the-scenes week in the life of Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams). The two actresses will no doubt have many stories to share about pixie haircut maintenance. [Daily Mail UK via Playlist]
