Gilliam’s Quixote Faces Even More Problems

Terry Gilliam’s seemingly cursed production of The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, which has already faced its share of setbacks, now faces another challenge. “The financing collapsed about a month ago,” the director said this weekend. “I shouldn’t be here. The plan was to be shooting Quixote right now.” Nevertheless, Gilliam says he still plans to truck on with the project, set to star Robert Duvall and Ewan McGregor. “Don Quixote gives me something to look forward to, always. Maybe the most frightening thing is to actually make the film,” he said. Though no one should hold their breath, considering Gilliam’s infamous track record and of course the history of this particular project. [Variety]
