The moving and shaking continues over at SNL: Will Forte’s gone, there are four new cast members — including, for the first time since 2003, an African-American — and now Deadline hears a rumor that Jenny Slate may be out to make room for all the new kids,. (Apparently, Abby Elliott was in “serious jeopardy” for a time, but is no longer. Huh.) This would be a bummer — we’ve loved Slate since her introductory, accidental F-bombing. On the bright side, perhaps it will give her time to make a sequel to Marcel the Shell with Shoes On. UPDATE: Yup, it’s true. SNL is officially hiring four new cast members, and dropping Slate.
