Manohla Dargis, the New York Times film critic most likely to unleash totally deserving, totally devastating critical beatdowns on middling films (and the movie business), has been MIA since June 20, leaving colleagues A.O. Scott and Stephen Holden to dispense with Eat, Pray, Love and a particularly dreadful summer season without her.
