Earlier today Pitchfork relayed a report from various unreliable British press outlets that MGMT drummer Will Berman had had a cup of urine thrown at him at the band’s show in Manchester on Sunday night. This, we now know thanks to an e-mail to Pitchfork from MGMT front man Andrew VanWyngarden, did not happen. That’s too bad, because those original reports said MGMT finished the set after the pee incident, which would have made the band the anti–Kings of Leon. On the other hand, VanWyngarden’s e-mail is pretty awesome: “All in all it was a great show, and, on a scale of one to ten counting by tenths, I would give it a strong 7.1.” [Pitchfork]
