ABC Announces Skating With the Stars, Slots V Return

The Situation may have flopped on the dance floor, but maybe he can skate. He potentially could get a chance at redemption next month: ABC today said it’s finally moving ahead with long-rumored plans to launch Skating With the Stars, which is basically Dancing With the Stars on ice (and comes from the same producers). SWTS will bow Monday, November 22, right after DWTS wraps up, and unlike the non-slushy version, it’ll air only on Mondays until its Tusday finale on December 21. We actually have no evidence to suggest Mr. Situation will be on SWTS; ABC won’t announce which stars will appear on the new show until November 2, when the lineup is revealed on DWTS.

Meanwhile, ABC is using the launch of SWTS to try out a new time slot for freshman drama No Ordinary Family: The results show for SWTS will air Tuesdays at eight, with Family moving to nine starting November 30. But it’s a short-lived swap, because on January 4, Family will return to its 8 p.m. Tuesday home, while the second season of V premieres in its new 9 p.m. Tuesday slot.
