The Chilean-miner story is an uplifting movie waiting to happen, a fact that has not escaped the 33 miners’ notice, even thousands of feet and many months underground. The men have reportedly asked a lawyer to draw up a contract “ensuring they will equally profit from the lucrative media deals they expect to secure.” This profit-sharing means that outlets paying for interviews, authors looking to write books, and studios hoping for movie rights will have to negotiate with the whole group, as opposed to just one man, which will likely mean they’ll have to pay more. Which is awesome. [Telegraph UK via Book Bench/NYer]
