James Cameron will direct two follow-ups to Avatar, likely back to back. The as-yet-untitled Avatar 2 (More Avatar, Avatarier, Avatar 2, but in 3-D, or what have you) is scheduled to arrive in theaters in December 2014, with Avatar 3 (The Most Avatar, Avatariest, Avatar 3-D-ier, Avatar: Still in 3-D, Still in Pandora) scheduled for December 2015. Cameron is still writing the scripts for the sequels, but production should begin at the end of next year. Guess this means Angelina Jolie’s Cleopatra will have to wait until the blue people stop printing money. [Deadline]
