HBO just ordered a pilot for Veep, a political comedy that would star Julia Louis-Dreyfus as “a female senator who becomes vice president of the United States and finds the job is ‘nothing like she expected and everything everyone ever warned about.’” It’ll be written by satarist Armando Iannucci, who was behind the insanely good In The Loop.
