Said potheads are forced to grow up a little when one of them loses a father, then inherits his general store, country home, and millions of dollars worth of Amish farmland, which undoubtedly makes for all sorts of humorous culture clashing. Things become even more comically complicated when both of them start to fall in love with their father’s “younger bohemian” widow.
Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner is making his first movie! I’m sure it’ll be an intense, dramatic period piece, right? Um, no. He’s cast Jack Black and Matt Dillon as a couple of “thirtysomething slacker potheads” in the movie, which is called You Are Here. Now it doesn’t sound a lot like Mad Men on paper, but I assume the father was a stern Korean war vet whose love of whiskey is only outmatched by his love of cheating on his wife.
