Expected: Disaster movie auteur Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, 2012) is directing a movie about aliens invading Earth. Unexpected: He’s doing it in secret, with a budget of only $5 million. Heat Vision says the project is called The Zone, and it’ll be a found footage sci-fi film starring unknowns in the vein of Cloverfield.
