In last night’s live episode of 30 Rock, which was the bigger dealbreaker committed by Matt Damon’s Carol: that he forgot girlfriend Liz Lemon’s birthday, or that his potentially final request to her was to make sure to TiVo Bones? As E! points out, Damon’s buddy Affleck also scored an easy laugh at the expense of Bones in his film The Town, faux-crediting the David Boreanaz–Emily Deschanel forensics procedural with boosting his bank-robbing acumen. Has Bones become a go-to middlebrow punchline, or are all the references simply a preemptive strike at its total ratings dominance over 30 Rock? [E!]
