On November 16, Bruce Springsteen drops a treasure trove of extra material from the Darkness on the Edge of Town sessions, with both The Promise double album and The Promise three CD, three DVD boxed set. Featured on the latter option is rehearsal footage of Bruce and the band playing material that would end up either on Darkness or Promise. Which leads us to the above video, which Vulture is premiering right now: Shot in Holmdel, New Jersey, in 1976, it captures a spirited run-through of “Save My Love,” a song that can be found on The Promise in slightly different form. It also captures a shirtless Bruce Springsteen. Enjoy!
