The American Film Institute announced its 2010 selections today for its almanac of the year’s “most outstanding achievements in film and television.” The selections are determined by a small jury of film industry players, academics, and critics — which, this year, included Diablo Cody, Lee Daniels, Leonard Maltin, and Jennifer Love Hewitt — who duke it out until they determine the winners. And, unlike with other awards ceremonies, AFI’s selected works win by just being nominated: They’re all being recognized, honored, and added to the almanac. Below, see if you agree with AFI’s picks.
