Director Blake Edwards Dies at 88

Blake Edwards — who directed notable dramas such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Days of Wine and Roses but was perhaps best known for his comedies, including Victor/Victoria, The Party, and seven Pink Panther films — died last night in Santa Monica after suffering complications related to pneumonia. He is survived by his wife Julie Andrews, who memorably sent up her own image in the Edwards film S.O.B. [ET]
