On last night’s Colbert Report, a special guest stopped by: Paul Dinello, Colbert’s former partner in crime on the classic Strangers with Candy. Just seeing them together for this short bit makes me want to go bust out my Strangers with Candy DVDs and watch the episode where Jerri gets hooked on pot. Luckily, there’s YouTube and this amazing clip of Dinello as Mr. Jellineck from that episode to satisfy me for the time being:
I want to call this show underrated, but is it? Maybe it’s just underwatched. But everyone I know who’s seen it absolutely loves it, and with good reason. It’s amazing.
