In response to his WSJ piece from earlier this week about why he’s an atheist, Ricky Gervais took some follow-up questions. His answers include: “Since there is nothing to know about god, a comedian knows as much about god as any one else”; “How can not believing in something that is backed up with no empirical evidence be less scientific than believing in something that not only has no empirical evidence but actually goes against the laws of the universe and in many cases actually contradicts itself?”; and a very sweet remembrance of his mother.
